Our first day at Cardigan began with a few warm up activities that would stretch out our sore muscles. Then we saw our rooms and went on a hike to Welton Falls. It was a long and interesting hike. We marked several waypoints along the route including a giant fallen over tree, and a raging river. When we arrived at Welton Falls we marked another waypoint. This was an example of movement because we moved from the Cardigan lodge, to Welton Falls. On our way back we went under an overpass that had a great view of the falls when the water was gushing down. Then we went on the long tiring hike back to the lodge. This is another example of movement, because we went from Welton falls, to Cardigan lodge. We saw a cool old cellar that had once belonged to a stone house. When I got back I played blackjack with Conrad, Adam, Matthew Vendt, and Mr. Buss. That evening we had a delicious pulled pork dinner and then we played mafia for a little while. Finally, Mr Woolner told us an old story about Blackbeards life. It told us about his time as a pirate and then his death at the hands of British officers. Then we went to bed.
